Doha: The Marine Protection Department of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has released a number of seabirds of Salal species.
The birds were seized by the authorities concerned while they were taken to the country illegally.
The Marine Protection Department noted that it is prohibited to hunt, sell or transport all wild animals within Qatar without obtaining a permit from the Ministry.
It stressed that violators will face legal accountability and punishment.
