Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and President of the Republic of Tajikistan HE Emomali Rahmon, today witnessed the signing of an agreement and several memorandums of understanding (MoUs) between the governments of the two countries at the Lusail Palace.
His Highness and the President of Tajikistan witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Emergency and Natural Disaster Administration of the Ministry of Interior of the State of Qatar and the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, an executive program between the Ministry of Education and Higher Education of the State of Qatar and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan concerning cooperation in the field of education for the years 2024-2029, a cooperation program between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period 2024-2026, a memorandum of understanding in the field of museum development between Qatar Museums Authority and the National Museum of Tajikistan, and a joint declaration to enhance cultural cooperation between the Ministry of Culture of the State of Qatar and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan.
They also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Financial Information Unit of the State of Qatar and the Financial Monitoring Administration of the National Bank of Tajikistan for bilateral cooperation, an agreement to avoid double taxation and prevent financial evasion regarding taxes on income and capital between the governments of the two countries, a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of charitable and humanitarian work between the Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities of the State of Qatar and the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, and a memorandum of understanding between the Free Zones Authority of the State of Qatar and the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The signing ceremony was attended by a number of Their Excellencies the ministers and senior officials.
Members of the official delegation accompanying HE the President of Tajikistan also attended the ceremony.
