DOHA: Ansar Group of Companies will open its largest branch in Barwa Commercial Avenue next month.
Spread over an area of 30,000sqm, the ‘Ansar Gallery’ will have golf cars to ferry customers from one block to another.
The 800-metre-long shopping complex has 30 blocks.
“Customers will find a wide range of products under one roof, which will be priced at competitive rates,” Ali Akbar Shaikh Ali, Chairman, Ansar Group of Companies, told this daily. “There will be three battery- operated environment-friendly golf cars to help customers move from one block to another,” he said.
The complex will have sections for most household items, including, garments, footwear, cosmetics, furniture, ceramic, sanitary ware, tiles, lighting and doors, electronics, building materials and a supermarket.
It will have a fun-zone, a play area for children so that they can enjoy shopping experience with parents.

There will be a food court to satisfy taste buds of customers, adding pleasure to their shopping experience.
The showroom will have a section for carpets which will be the biggest in Doha.
It will have a wide variety of carpets sourced from different part of the world.
The Tile Section will also be the biggest in Qatar, offering customers a wide variety.
The new branch will announce offers to reward customers.
“We have planned some big offers for customers who will be surprised to see them,” Ali said.
Ansar Group has seven branches in Qatar — in Al Rayyan, Al Khor, Airport Road, Al Mansoura, City Centre Doha, Salwa Road and Museum Street.
Customers coming to this showroom will not have to think about parking space.
It has parking space for 1,000 vehicles and will be expanded further.
“The parking space will be expanded in near future. There is lot of space in the back of the centre which will be developed for parking,” said Ali.
The group also plans to open a showroom in Matar Qadeem near Old Airport Area. It is likely to open in May.
“At present, we want to expand our presence in other parts of Doha. Later we will expand our branches in other parts of Qatar,” he said.
The group has three branches in the UAE, one in Bahrain and one in the US and plans to expand its presence outside Qatar — with 15 branches in the UAE by 2020-end.
The retail market is growing rapidly in Qatar due to strong demand.
“Qatar’s population is growing due to which the retail market is expanding very fast.
“Qatar is developing rapidly and customers need more shopping malls and hypermarkets to meet their needs,” the chairman added.
