DOHA: The Customs Department at Doha International Airport has seized three kilograms of marijuana from an Asian passenger. The drugs were concealed in a packet inside the luggage of the passenger.
The customs officials searched the belongings of a suspicious passenger who arrived in Doha in a direct flight from an Asian country. During inspection, a packet wrapped in plastic was found. The packet contained three kilograms of marijuana, said a press release yesterday. The passenger with seized drugs was handed over to the security agency for further legal actions, said acting director of Customs Department at Doha International Airport.
