DOHA: The upcoming 7th GCC Quality Conference, to be held here under the patronage of the Emir, H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, will address some of the most critical environmental challenges faced by the energy-rich member states of the council.
Qatargas has announced to extend its support as Gold Sponsor to the event with a theme “The Quality and Environmental Challenges”. It will be held on April 30 at the Sharq Village & Spa Hotel.
Qatargas’ support to the conference was announced during a press conference held at Qatargas Doha Head Office which was attended by Khalifa Ahmed Al Sulaiti, Environmental Affairs Manager, Qatargas, Mansour Rashid Al Naimi, Public Relations Manager, Qatargas and Mohammed Saleh Al Kuwari, President of Gulf Development Center, which is organising the conference.
Al Sulaiti said: “Qatargas is delighted to be part of this important event which is addressing one of the most decisive issues of our time.”

The conference will be attended by decision-makers, academicians, researchers and delegates from government organisations, public utilities, public and private sector companies and other.
Main topics to be discussed at the conference include importance of quality as an essential step in the way of compliance with local and international environmental standards.
An exhibition will be held as part of the conference where companies and corporate sponsors will showcase their efforts to reduce carbon footprint. Qatargas will participate in the exhibition with an interactive model showcasing the Jetty Boil-off Gas (JBOG) project highlighting how Qatargas will reduce flaring at the LNG jetties by over 90 per cent during the LNG ship loading process.
