Beirut: Two people were killed Wednesday, April 22, 2026, in an Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon.
Lebanon's National News Agency reported that Israeli warplanes targeted a car in the town of Al-Tayri in southern Lebanon, killing two people inside.
Earlier today, one person was killed and two others injured in an Israeli airstrike on eastern Lebanon, violating the 10-day ceasefire that began on April 16.
Israeli forces continued their attacks on southern Lebanon, targeting homes, buildings, and mosques in the town of Khiam around the clock.
Simultaneously, Israeli bulldozers are demolishing residential neighborhoods and destroying roads and infrastructure, in what appears to be an attempt to completely erase the town's features.
The areas surrounding the towns of Shaqra and Houla are being subjected to Israeli artillery shelling and machine gun fire. Israeli patrols, supported by bulldozers, are also destroying roads in the Wadi Al Salouqi area.
