UAE President discusses bilateral relations, regional developments with Kenyan counterpart

Abu Dhabi: President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, with Kenyan counterpart, Dr.William Samoei Ruto, who is currently visiting Abu Dhabi, to discuss bilateral relations and opportunities for developing cooperation in various fields.

During the meeting, the two sides also reviewed developments in the Middle East and their serious repercussions on regional and global security and stability, as well as their impact on international maritime security and the global economy.

The meeting also addressed the Iran's attacks that targeted civilians, facilities, and civilian infrastructure in the UAE and other countries in the region.

The Kenyan President reiterated his condemnation of the attacks, which he described as a violation of the countries' sovereignty, international laws and norms, which undermines regional peace and security.
