Doha: Consolidated Gulf Company (CGC has won a multi-million riyal contract in India to provide traffic surveillance solutions. CGC’s fully owned subsidiary in India, CGC Converse Technologies, will supply and install cutting edge surveillance solutions which would be linked to a centralised traffic management centre covering all the major hubs in Bangalore, a press release issued by CGC said yesterday.
The rising population in the metropolis has led to an increase in the vehicular population to about 1.5 million, with an annual growth rate of seven to 10 percent. Surveillance solution implemented by CGC will help Bangalore Traffic Department in real-time traffic monitoring which in turn will aid in safeguarding the general public by allowing authorities to deploy emergency response units more efficiently and effectively.
