Helicopter crash kills 3 officers in Algeria

ALGIERS: Three Algerian officers were killed in a helicopter crash east of the capital Algiers on Sunday, according to the country’s defense ministry.

In a Monday statement, the ministry said the navy helicopter crashed after hitting a high voltage electric post in the province of Tipaza.

According to the statement, the aircraft was on a reconnaissance mission when it crashed.
