Doha, Qatar: The Amir Cup final remains one of the most eagerly awaited events on Qatar’s sporting calendar, and the organising body is leaving no stone unturned to deliver an exceptional experience for all stakeholders.

As Al Rayyan and Al Gharafa prepare for Saturday’s much-anticipated title clash at the iconic Khalifa International Stadium, all efforts are being channelled into ensuring the final serves as a fitting conclusion to Qatar’s domestic football season.

Members of the Organising Committee while sharing event details confirmed that preparations are progressing smoothly for what promises to be another blockbuster finale.

“Rigorous preparations are underway to host the Amir Cup final, ensuring an ideal experience for everyone involved,” said Qatar Football Association (QFA) Representative Ali Al-Salat during a press conference held yesterday at Khalifa International Stadium.

The 44,828-seat venue is expected to witness a full house, with Al-Salat revealing that the ticket sales, which began on May 19, have been met with an overwhelming response.

“Seventy-five percent of the total tickets have already been sold,” he said, adding that a range of attractive prizes will be available for fans.

Tickets are priced at QR50, QR30, and QR10, with each individual allowed to purchase up to ten tickets.

“Prizes worth QR500,000 including a car raffle will be on offer for fans. In addition, there will be a variety of activities in the fan zone,” Al-Salat added.

Facility Director at Khalifa International Stadium Mansour Al Mohannadi provided further logistical details, stating that stadium gates will open at 4pm ahead of the 7pm kick-off.

“There are 31 cafeterias spread across the stadium, along with mosques and 62 designated hospitality areas. A comprehensive entry plan is in place, including dedicated routes for fans with disabilities. We extend our best wishes to both teams,” he said.

Transportation Director Nasser Al Misnad confirmed that nearby roads will open five hours prior to kick-off.

“We’ve designated specific parking areas and exit routes for fans and persons with disabilities,” he said.

“Coordination with relevant authorities has ensured smooth access, with the Gold Line Metro assigned for fans’ use. A detailed transportation map outlining all routes and access points will be released on May 22 (today),” he added.

Both Al Rayyan and Al Gharafa are in pursuit of their first trophy of the season. Al Rayyan booked their spot in the final after a 3-0 win over Al Ahli while Al Gharafa secured a 4-2 victory against Umm Salal.

The QFA also announced that Mohammed Ahmed Al-Shammari will officiate Saturday’s final.
