Supervisors said no injuries or significant damage were caused as a result. Officials also said that contrary to unsubstantiated rumour about the incident, that labour accommodation on the construction site was not affected and had been previously vacated due to the completion of the site’s construction works.
Management of the project praised the efforts of the Lusail Real Estate Development Company and the Civil Defence for controlling the fire quickly and effectively. The Civil Defence is currently investigating the incident to determine the cause of the fire.
