DOHA: Guardian Wealth has supported Qatar Academy pupils to prepare for a career in the business world.
David Russell, CEO of QFC financial consultancy firm, Guardian Wealth Management, and Senior Consultant Will Myers, attended Qatar Academy’s mock interview day yesterday, where pupils got a taste of what a formal business interview would really be like.
David said “Each company who took part had the task of interviewing four senior pupils. I was actually very surprised at how well the pupils responded in the interviews and how confident and competent they all were. I can’t remember being like that at their age.
Will said “The day was a lot of fun and a great experience for all concerned, I hope the guys and girls learned something. Going by the calibre of those we interviewed, I don’t think they will have much trouble moving into employment after university”.
Todd Haines, Academic Co-Ordinator at Qatar Academy said “We really appreciate companies like Guardian giving up their time and coming down here to give something back. It gives the pupils a unique experience.”
Guardian also offers an excellent university graduate placement scheme where university leavers are taken through their required exams and ultimately to advisor status over a two year period.
