Milan:  Uruguay international midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur has extended his contract with Juventus until June 2024, the Serie A champions announced on Saturday.
The 21-year-old arrived from Boca Juniors in 2017.
"(Juventus) are one of the best three clubs in Europe and it is an honour to stay here for another five years," said Bentancur, whose previous deal was set to expire in June 2022.
"The goal is to win everything next year with this club and win the World Cup with Uruguay."
Bentancur made 40 appearances for the Turin giants last season, scoring two goals, as Juventus won an eighth consecutive Serie A title.
"His career so far can best be described as one with a recent promising past, a brilliant present and a future waiting to be written: all with the Juventus jersey on his back," the club said in a statement.
