Ramallah: The Palestinian National Council (PNC) called on international, regional, and Arab parliaments to take urgent action to protect the Palestinian people and provide urgent relief to the Gaza Strip amid the worsening humanitarian disaster resulting from the ongoing Israeli aggression.
In his appeal today, PNC Speaker Rawhi Fattouh emphasized that the Gaza Strip is witnessing unprecedented humanitarian conditions, including mass deaths from bombing, hunger, thirst, displacement, lack of treatment, and the complete collapse of the health system.
Fattouh pointed out that all cities and towns in the Gaza Strip, from Rafah to Beit Hanoun, from Gaza to Khan Yunis, has become a disaster zone, overcrowded with displaced people who are being hunted by death even in their makeshift shelters and at food distribution centers, which have turned into direct targets for killing.
PNC Speaker called for the urgent enactment of emergency legislation to allocate symbolic amounts equivalent to the cost of a meal, a liter of water, or a box of medicine, with the aim of saving the lives of children, the elderly, and women suffering from hunger, illness, cold, and heat.
