Doha, Qatar: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani held a phone call with Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad of the Arab Republic of Egypt HE Dr. Badr Abdelatty.
At the outset of the call, HE the Egyptian Foreign Minister conveyed Egypt's condolences and sympathy to the State of Qatar and to the families of the victims of the internal explosion that occurred at a factory in the Ras Laffan Industrial City, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
During the call, they discussed bilateral cooperation relations and ways to support and strengthen them.
They also exchanged views on the latest regional developments, particularly diplomatic efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability in the region following the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed the State of Qatar's full support for the ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran, stressing the importance of reaching lasting solutions to outstanding issues through dialogue and peaceful means to strengthen regional security, open new avenues for cooperation, development and prosperity, and serve the shared interests of the peoples of the region and the world.
