Doha: Global management consultancy firm Hay Group yesterday announced the establishment of its new office in Doha.
The office at the Qatar Financial Centre Tower in the West Bay, is the base for 10 of the US-based consultancy’s staff. They will be supported by the wider team of 80 in the Middle East.
“As part of our continuing expansion across the Middle East, we are pleased to have the opportunity to invest in the creation of a new Hay Group office to focus on the Qatar market. This is a successful and thriving market where organisations are ready to transform to take advantage of great opportunities here,” Hay Group’s Middle East Managing Director Peter Christie said.
He said that the group already has more than 120 clients being supported from Dubai. “The opening of our Qatar office ties in with Hay Group’s 70th anniversary this year and is a reflection of our continued growth. The new office brings us closer to the market, allowing us to better serve our existing client base and more easily reach out to new ones,” Vivek Sharma, Hay Group’s new Country Manager for Qatar said.
The group has two other regional offices in Dubai and Riyadh. The new office opening will be formally commemorated on September 17 at an event for senior Qatari business leaders.
Sharma said that the group aims to work closely with Qatari companies in understanding their people issues, helping them align their HR strategy to business requirements and implementing their HR strategy by deploying, developing and engaging the workforce towards achieving their business objectives.
“Qatar has a clear vision for its future and we believe we can contribute to helping achieve the social and economic development goals for the country. We believe there are great opportunities here for Hay Group’s unique proposition of supporting the transformation of individuals, organisations and societies,” Christie added. The Peninsula
