Qatar, Unesco sign training deal

Doha: Qatar and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) yesterday signed in Paris a joint cooperation agreement, under which Qatar’s young university graduates and those starting jobs in the country will receive training in Unesco’s scope of work. 
By signing of the agreement, Qatar seeks to promote its graduates and new employees’ skills in technical cooperation through a two-year practical training programme at Unesco headquarters in Paris, in addition to its regional offices around the world. 
The deal was signed by Ambassador Ali Zainal, Qatar’s Permanent Representative at Unesco,  on behalf of the Minister of Education and Higher Education, Secretary-General of Supreme Education Council and Chairman of Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science H E Dr Mohammed bin Abdulwaheed Al Hammadi.
