DOHA: The Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) Authority announced the appointment of Dr. Haitham Al Salama to the position of Chief Economic Advisor. This newly created role sits within the CEO’s office, where Dr. Al Salama will work on developing the economic strategy of the onshore business and financial centre.
Yousuf Mohamed Al Jaida, CEO of the QFC Authority, said: “The QFC has once again attracted top Qatari talent due to its excellent reputation within Qatar’s business community. He has over 10 years of previous experience, spanning policy and management within governmental and non-profit organizations. Prior to joining the QFC, he held the position of Director of Science Policy and Management in Sidra Medical and Research Centre, a member of Qatar Foundation.
Al Salama holds an MBBS from King Saud University, a Master of Arts in Education and an MBA from Stanford University, USA, and a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University, USA, where he focused on International and Global Affairs.
