Indian Embassy Doha repatriates first batch of Afghan evacuees to India

Doha: The first batch of 135 Indians who were evacuated from Kabul to Doha were repatriated to India on Saturday, August 21.

This came in a tweet from the Indian Embassy Doha who shared videos from the airport of Indians going back. 

The embassy provided consular and logistics assistance to ensure their safe return. It also thanked the Qatar authorities and other officials for making this possible.

According to Indian media reports, approximately 500 people returned to India today, August 22 morning from Afghanistan, through various destinations and flights.
