Doha: Red signs with repeated Arabic word "Dawam" have been popping up around Doha, sparking widespread curiosity among locals and expats.

These signs have appeared in several locations, including the Corniche, Salwa Road, Al Waab Street, E-Ring Road, and Dukhan Road, but their origin and purpose remain unclear.

The word "Dawam" translates to "working hours," typically referring to the 8 am to 4 pm workday.

However, the meaning behind the signs has left many puzzled, with drivers and pedestrians speculating about their significance, sparking heated discussions on social media.

Several theories have emerged online.

Some suggest that the signs are part of a campaign encouraging people to respect their working hours and improve work ethic.

Others believe it’s simply a marketing stunt, with something bigger to be revealed later.

A popular rumour circulating on the platform X points to a potential connection with a new Qatari job search platform called "Dawam," which is said to be similar to LinkedIn, helping residents find both full-time and part-time jobs in Qatar.

This claim, made by @alemadia, has not been officially confirmed, but the mystery surrounding the signs continues to generate intrigue, with many eagerly awaiting an official explanation.
