15 shops booked for violating rules

DOHA: Government officials have booked 15 shops at the central market for violating licensing rules. Some of these outlets were operating without valid business licenses while some others were being doubly used as residences by their staffers.
The raids were conducted by officials from the Department of Registration and Business Licensing at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce and Doha Municipality’s Food and Markets Control Section, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reports.
The irregularities that were caught by the officials included shops being operated without valid licenses and some shops being doubly used as residences.
The economy ministry, while urging shopkeepers not to flout rules, has urged consumers to report any irregularity they see or suspect. The Peninsula
