Doha, Qatar: Siraj, an initiative under Qatar Foundation’s Pre-University Education, participated in the BilAraby Annual Gathering 2026 through an interactive workshop highlighting how educational entertainment content can be used as a resource to support Arabic language learning both inside and outside the classroom.
The second edition of the forum, organised by Qatar Foundation’s BilAraby initiative, was held under the theme ‘With Our Ideas, We Build’ at Multaqa (Education City Student Center), bringing together Arabic language enthusiasts and experts in education, culture, and knowledge to exchange ideas and experiences on ways to strengthen the presence of the Arabic language.
During the workshop, the Siraj team presented the strategy behind the program and its vision for supporting Arabic language learning among children, while also providing an overview of the previous nine seasons and the program’s development over the years. The team also highlighted Siraj’s content and its role in presenting Arabic through an educational and entertaining approach that makes the language more engaging and accessible to children while strengthening their connection to it.
Siraj’s participation this year holds special significance as it coincides with the program’s 10th anniversary. Over the past decade, Siraj has continued to develop content that combines education and entertainment, helping children build their language skills while making Arabic more relevant to their everyday experiences and interests. Director of Communication and Outreach at QF’s Pre-University Education, Buthina Al-Derham said: “Over the past 10 years, Siraj has worked to bring the Arabic language closer to children through content that combines learning and enjoyment, helping them develop their listening, speaking, and reading skills while expanding their Arabic vocabulary.
“What sets the program apart is that its content is not only designed for children, but can also be used by teachers and parents as a supporting educational resource both inside and outside the classroom, helping to strengthen the presence of Arabic in children’s daily lives.
“Our participation in the BilAraby Annual Gathering 2026 provides an opportunity to share Siraj’s experience, content, and tools with teachers, specialists, and those interested in the Arabic language, while also learning from their experiences and needs. This exchange helps us continue developing the program and strengthening its role as an educational resource that supports new generations in learning Arabic and building a stronger connection with the language.”
