India accused of violating ceasefire

Islamabad: Pakistan yesterday accused the Indian army of violating the cease-fire along the Line of Control in Kashmir, killing seven civilians. Pakistan’s Geo News said Indian troops’ unprovoked firing and shelling along the LoC in Kashmir and Charwa sector has killed seven civilians. It said Indian troops have continued unprovoked firing and shelling for the last five days in Sialkot and Narowal sectors. The unprovoked firing and shelling which started on October 15 has also killed a soldier, Geo News added.

Explosion hits Kabul area

Kabul: An explosion rocked the western part of capital Kabul of Afghanistan yesterday. Police said the blast took place in Kote Sangi area after a magnetic bomb in a vehicle went off. The Interior Ministry said only the driver.

36 rebels killed, 18 injured

Kabul: At least 36 Taliban militants were killed and 18 injured in Afghan police and Nato operations in Helmand, Paktiya, Maidan Wardak, Kandahar, Baghlan and Kunar provinces in the past 24 hours, the Interior Ministry said. Fifteen rebels were detained.Agencies
