Mövenpick celebrates flavours of Asean region

Seasons Restaurant was bustling on Sunday for the grand opening of the first Asean Street Food Festival presented by Mövenpick Hotel Doha. The hotel has collaborated closely with the seven Asean embassies in Qatar to deliver the most authentic culinary experience for each country.  The event kicked off with an official ribbon cutting ceremony by General Manager, Fabien Chesnais and the ambassadors of the represented countries; Deddy Saiful Hadi of Indonesia, Crescente R Relacion of the Phillipines, Dato’ Ahmad Jazri bin Mohd Johar of Malaysia, Nordin Ahmad of Brunei, Nguyen Hoang of Vietnam and Piroon Laismit of Thailand. 
Guests were transported on a culinary journey through the street food markets of Brunei, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia. The Seasons Restaurant terrace has been transformed into a live outdoor cooking extravaganza for the remainder of the event which closes on October 26.
The public can expect a surprisingly authentic experience created by Executive Chef Ery Irmansjah. Each evening the restaurant buffet will mark a celebration of the dishes native to each country represented, while the outdoor food market will showcase the best of the street food found in all seven countries. The festival opens its doors every night this week until Sunday from 6.00pm – 11.00pm and is priced at QR140 per person excluding the wide choice of Asean beverages. 
Those attending will stand a chance of winning two giveaways. One lucky guest will win a one week trip to on the the Mövenpick Hotels in Dubai with flights included, while the grand prize winner will receive two air tickets to the Asean country of their choice. The Peninsula
