Qatari businesswoman wins Arab award

DOHA: Ibtihaj Alahmadani, a prominent Qatari businesswoman and one of the 17 members on the Qatar Chamber board, has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at Arab Woman Awards.
Fifteen winners, including ‘Inspirational Woman of the Year’ Dr Aisha Al Mannai, were presented with their awards by Al Jazeera’s Fairouz Ziani. 
The ceremony was attended by the winners, their families, VIPs and media representatives. 
Dr Nabila Al Meer, winner of the Medical Award, said: “It is an honour to be recognised among such an extraordinary group of women. These awards go a long way in not only recognising successes of women in Qatar, but in highlighting the development of the role of women in the region.”
The awards were judged by an independent board which included Honorary Chairperson of Qatar Judges Board, Bothaina Al Ansari, HR Director,  Ooredoo and Board Member of Qatar Businesswomen’s Association, Mishael Al Ansari, Marketing and Communication Director, Anti-Doping Lab Qatar, Aisha Al Bedded, Creative Director,  DarzDesigns, Amal Al Athem, Visual Arts Expert, Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage, and Nadine El Chaer, Chief Editor, Ahaln! Arabia.
Other winners include Samira Fakhri (Businesswoman of the Year), Dr Hessa Sadeq (Education), Wafika Sultan Saif (Art), Maryam Al Shaibi (Entrepreneur), Hessa Al Awadi (Literature), Hessa Al Mannai (Fashion Designer), Wadha Al Hajiri (Young Designer), Dr Nabila Al Meer (Medical), Amal Abdul Malik (Media), Anisa Al Hitmi (Sport), Dr Noora Al Hinzab (Humanitarian), Girnaas (Young Talent), Maryam Al Jaber (Woman in Government), Dr Aisha Al Mannai (Inspirational Woman of the year).
