It will be compulsory for a nursery to seek clearance from the Civil Defence to be eligible to be licensed and it must be located on the ground floor of a building and away from a main and busy road. It is expected that the law would see the light of day sooner rather than later after the draft having been approved by the State Cabinet.
The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani chaired the regular cabinet meeting held at the Emiri Diwan yesterday.
The Cabinet condemned the continuing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the killing of innocents and for bloodshed, intimidation of the Gazans, and the destruction of homes and public and private properties in flagrant violation of international law, international resolutions, and humanity charters, norms and values, in addition to the serious threat it poses to regional security and stability.
The cabinet stressed that the UN Security Council is fully responsible, and it is required now more than ever before to take an urgent, clear and decisive stance to stop the aggression, ensure it does not recur, provide the necessary protection for the Palestinian people, and force Israel to lift the unjust siege on the Gaza Strip and create the appropriate atmosphere for the resumption of the peace process towards bringing about a just, lasting and comprehensive peace.
