AAB employees together with DEAP volunteers, carrying out the cleaning operation.
Doha: Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros. Co. (AAB), the exclusive distributor of Toyota and Lexus in Qatar, conducted a joint cleanup with the Doha Environmental Action Project (DEAP), a volunteering organisation leading the fight against plastic pollution and dune/ beach cleanup movement in Qatar. The event was part of the Qatar Sustainability Week (QSW) 2020 activities.
The cleanup was held at the Singing Dunes, approximately 40km southwest of Doha, near the Wakrah Municipality.
Together with DEAP volunteers, AAB employees carried out the cleaning operation across the area for an hour. Around 400 kilograms of plastics and non-biodegradable wastes were collected within that time.
This highlights the importance of being responsible with nature and creating a sustainable future for the next generation.
The local green community can make a difference in this event in keeping Qatar clean. The activity was the 184th cleanup carried out by DEAP. Social distancing and health measures were in place during the cleanup.
AAB is proud to be one of DEAP’s main partners in their endeavor and advocacy for a greener environment. AAB is fully committed to giving back to the community through its CSR initiatives, with one of its major pillars focused on caring for the environment. This commitment is reflected in its support of programs geared towards a Green Qatar.
Its continuing partnership with the Public Parks Department in the Seedlings to Your Home and Reduction of Carbon Footprint projects promote environmental care.
Its collaboration with DEAP reinforces and manifests AAB’s commitment and active role in contributing to the fulfillment of Qatar National Vision 2030.
