DOHA: Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend Wednesday, adding 29.71 points (or 0.34%) to advance to 8,652.86 points from 8,623.15 on last day.
The volume of the shares traded up to 4,399,967 from 3,218,075 on last day and the value of shares increased to QR236,359,799.48 from QR200,299,484.36.
Among the top gainers were Qatar National Bank which was up 0.15% to QR134.60, Qatar Insurance rose 0.87% to QR69.60, International Islamic Bank gained 3.97% to QR55.00 and Electricity and Water up by 0.72% to QR139.00.
The Banking and Financial sector index up 0.56 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index added 0.24 points. The industrial sector lost 0.11 points while insurance sector rose 0.78 points. (QNA)
