SEC survey to evaluate school performance

DOHA: The Supreme Education Council (SEC) has announced a survey to evaluate the performances of schools in the country from March 10 to April 18.

The survey will collect data from teachers, guardians and students of 271 schools, including 182 Independent schools, 11 Arab private schools and 78 international schools.

It aims to improve education in the country according to the international standards and to get more information about education environment, life of students at schools and at homes.

The survey will also collect professional background of the teachers, their personalities, teaching practices and teacher-student relations.

SEC called on all respondents to cooperate and fill up the survey forms. The information of the survey will be kept secret and the identities of the respondents will not be disclosed.   

10 govt schools switch to e-bag system today

 

DOHA: The e-bag system will be implemented in 10 independent schools as government and private schools begin the second term tomorrow.

The e-bag project will provide each student and teacher with a computer in which they could find the Qatari curriculum and educational applications. All preparations and requirements to ensure safe use of computer have been ensured.  

According to a ministerial decision, the summer school vacation this year will start on June 26 and continue until September 9.  Vacation for administrative staff will be from July 25 to September 5.
