The annual Souq Waqif Spring Festival enthralled thousands of visitors to the country’s leading tourist destination with world-class street performers, famous Gulf singers, amusing animal shows and thrilling games.
The festival which concluded on Thursday featured nightly shows at three theatres namely Darafel, with seating capacity of 2,500, Al Rayyan with a capacity of 3,000 seats and Al Salafer which housed 1,000 people.
Visitors enjoyed amazing performances by 50 Arab artistes, circus acts and folkloric bands in addition to Human Canon Ball, Thrilling Air Dive, Smurf’s Kids Village, Dolphin and Penguin Show, Qatar’s Highest Bungee Jump, Thrilling Air Drive and a World-class Magic Show during the two-week-long fun-filled festival.
