Doha: AlFaisal Without Borders Foundation (ALF) and Jordan’s non-profit educational organisation, INJAZ, have signed a memorandum of understanding to run the international educational programme, Destination Imagination (DI) in Jordan.
Signed by ALF Executive Director, Ali Talal Mar’e, and INJAZ CEO, Deema Bibi, in the presence of Abdullatif Ali Al Yafei, ALF General Manager, and Dr Amjad Al Aryan, INJAZ Chairman, the deal reflects what ALF seeks to accomplish in and outside Qatar. It guarantees that the DI programme is rolled out in Jordan while protecting ALF’s intellectual property rights as DI’s exclusive representative in the Middle East.
Offering financial support, guidance and advanced training to volunteers and programme workers, ALF will oversee and support implementation of DI in line with standards and regulations agreed with the DI organisation in the US.
The programme targets students from kindergarten to university through challenges that foster creativity, innovation, self-confidence and teamwork based on specific standards.
Challenges are addressed by teams and groups which can be built for each challenge, helping develop innovation and communication skills and consolidate collaboration and bonding among students.
DI aims to help participants develop life skills needed in school and professional lives. The global DI finals are held annually in the US with over 30 countries participating.
