Doha: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday sent a cable of congratulations to Prokopis Pavlopoulos on his election as President of Greece, wishing him success and the Greek people further progress and prosperity.
Deputy Emir H H Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani also sent a cable of greetings to Pavlopoulos.
Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani sent a similar cable to Pavlopoulos.
Kathmandu: Nepal’s Foreign Minister Mahendra Bahadur Pandey has received a written message from Foreign Minister H E Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah.
The message related to relations and included an invitation to the 13th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice to be held in Doha from April 12 to 19.
Qatari Ambassador Ahmad Jassim Al Hamar presented the message yesterday. Pandey thanked Dr Al Attiyah for the invite and stressed the importance of relations between both countries.
