DOHA: More than 400 people will take part in the fourth annual Halal Qatar Festival to be held from February 28 to March 9 at the southern part of Katara.
Registration which ended on Thursday saw 90 participants for Hadayer barn activities, 50 for Al Mazad public auction, 70 for livestock owners and breeders’ forum and more than 200 for Al Mazayen competition.
Among the GCC countries, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait have the most participants, according to organisers.
Other activities on the sidelines, including a traditional handicraft market, local cuisine and traditional games as well as pony and camel rides for children, are also expected to draw crowds.
