Students of MES Indian School win ICRF’s art contest

Doha: Students of MES Indian School brought laurels to the school by winning the prestigious international art contest, Faber Castell Spectra International 2021, an annual art carnival conducted online by the Indian Community Relief Fund (ICRF) Bahrain. 

Spectra is a popular art competition for students which is aimed at encouraging and honouring artistic skills among the youth. ICRF was set up in 1999 by the Embassy of India in Bahrain. 

In a competition that witnessed the participation of 550 children from around 80 schools and across 17 countries, Karthika Mahesh of Class 11 won the first prize in category-4 and Varsha S Menon of Class 9 bagged second prize in category-5, while Krishnendu Venugopal and Krishna Ashok Kumar won sixth and fifth position respectively in the same category. Sanjay Shaji won fifth place in category-4.
