Doha: Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H E Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani chaired the Cabinet’s regular meeting yesterday at its seat at the Amiri Diwan.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Cabinet welcomed the results of H H the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani’s tour during the period of February 12-15, which included a work visit to the Republic of Turkiye, an official visit to the Italian Republic, and a work visit to the French Republic.
The Cabinet affirmed that H H the Amir’s fruitful talks with H E President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan, H E President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella, and President H E Emmanuel Macron reflected the depth and strength of the State of Qatar’s relations with the three countries, bolstered its existing strategic partnerships with them, and opened new horizons for developing relations and expanding cooperation in various fields.
This was in addition to the coordination of efforts to confront the repercussions of the devastating earthquakes in Turkiye and Syria.
The Cabinet was informed of the Shura Council’s approval of the following draft laws: A draft law on combating the concealment of non-Qatari practice of commercial, economic and professional activities in violation of the law. A draft law amending some provisions of Law No. (24) of 2006 issuing the Law (Regulation) of Fertilizers and Agricultural Soil Improvers in the GCC states. A draft law on procedures for division of estates.
The Cabinet took necessary measures to ratify an agreement between the Government of the State of Qatar and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on mutual encouragement and protection of investments. A cooperation agreement in the field of higher education, postgraduate studies and science between the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in the State of Qatar and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
