UAE Defense Ministry reports engaging 7 ballistic missiles, 16 UAVs from Iran

Abu Dhabi: The UAE Ministry of Defense has reported that its air defenses engaged seven ballistic missiles and 16 UAVs launched from Iran on Monday.

In a statement, the ministry clarified that since the start of the Iranian attacks, the UAE air defenses have intercepted 352 ballistic missiles, 15 loitering munitions, and 1,789 one-way attack UAVs.

These attacks resulted in the martyrdom of two service members of the Armed Forces while they were undertaking their national duties, as well as the killing of six civilians and injuring 160 individuals who sustained minor, moderate, and critical injuries, the statement continued.

The ministry further emphasized that it remains fully prepared and ready to deal with any potential threats and will firmly confront anything that would destabilize state security, stressing that it would work to ensure its sovereignty, security, and stability in pursuit of protecting its national interests and gains.
