Doha: Following on from last weekend’s year 1 to 3 years Goalz tournament, Al Arabi Sports club once again hosted the end of term competition on May 16 but this time for the years 4 to 6.
The event was a collaborative project between Goalz and the QSL Experience team.
For the first time at the Goalz tournament participants and their families were able to take part in the large inflatable bouncy goalie game courtesy of the QSL Experience team.
The final day of the tournament saw 100 students from, different schools participating in the Goalz tournament.
After the most hotly contested group stages the Goalz team had ever seen, the final two left in the tournament were favourites Lekhwiya up against newcomers Umm Salal. Lekhwiya saw the match out with a 2-0 win over the school who was representing Umm Salal and were crowned Goalz champions for school years 4 to 6. During the presentation ceremony Goalz also awarded the team which showed the best attitude and sportsmanship, with the Fair Play trophy and this went to Hayat Universal Bilingual School who were representing their local team of Al Sailiya.
