QE index dips 96.59 points last week

Doha: Qatar Exchange index lost 96.59 points, or 0.74 percent, last week when trading closed at 13,008.16 points here yesterday.
The trading value during the last week decreased by 6.49 percent to reach QR4.63bn compared to QR4.95bn. Trading volume decreased by 5.46 percent to reach 105.51 million shares, as against 111.60 million shares, while the number of transactions fell by 5.98 percent to reach 48,664 transactions as compared to 51,758 transactions.
Market capitalisation fell by 1.32 percent to hit QR724.62bn as compared to QR734.35bn at the end of previous week.
Banking and financial services sector led traded value with 32.05 percent of the total. Real Estate sector accounted for 25.22 percent. Industries sector accounted for 19.83 percent and telecoms sector accounted for 10.48 percent.
Real Estate sector led traded volume with 38.24 percent of the total. Banking and financial services sector accounted for 23.92 percent. Telecoms sector accounted for 14.70 percent and industries sector accounted 12.87 percent.
Banking and financial services sector led traded number of transactions with 26.15 percent of the total. Real estate sector accounted for 25.75 percent. Industries sector accounted for 25.08 percent and telecoms sector accounted for 8.59 percent.
From the 43 listed companies, 14 ended higher last week, while 29 fell. The Ezdan Holding Group led traded value with 13.75 percent of the total. QNA
