The Jassim and Hamad Bin Jassim Charitable Foundation has announced the value of the assistance it provided during May, with total support amounting to QR2,803,588. The aid was delivered as part of the foundation’s social responsibility efforts and its ongoing commitment to supporting those in need and strengthening social solidarity within Qatar.
The assistance covered the education and healthcare sectors, in addition to financial and in-kind support for eligible individuals and families, helping to improve their living conditions and meet their essential needs.
The foundation said the assistance forms part of its year-round charitable programmes, reflecting its strong commitment to humanitarian initiatives and projects within Qatar, which remain among its key priorities.
In the education sector, the value of assistance provided during May exceeded QR2,228,088. The funds were allocated to cover tuition fees for students across various educational levels, enabling them to continue their studies and overcome financial challenges that could hinder their academic progress.
The foundation also supported the healthcare sector by assisting a number of patients facing medical conditions that imposed financial burdens beyond their means. Healthcare assistance provided during the month amounted to QR96,875.
As part of its efforts to promote community development, the foundation continued to provide financial and in-kind assistance to eligible individuals and families through flexible and effective mechanisms that take beneficiaries’ needs into account and ensure support reaches the widest possible segment of those in need. Total financial assistance distributed during May reached QR478,625.
