Doha, Qatar: Abdullah Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs continues to provide educational programmes aimed at communities living in Qatar.
Programmes include introducing Islam and its culture, holding awareness events and religious lectures that are generally aimed to present a complete and balanced view of Islam and its culture and civilization.
Last week, the center welcomed 16 English speakers to Imam Muhammad bin AbdulWahhab Mosque, where they learned about the mosque’s architecture and the rituals performed by Muslims.
Registration for the center’s summer programme for children and young adults has started, and will remain open until next week. This will be the first time that the programme is held in the center.
The summer programme will include lectures in English on aspects of Islamic religion, jurisprudence and appropriate behaviour. This comes after the programme’s success in the past two years, which had a turnout of students during its two sessions.
During the past two years, the center held the summer programme for children and young adults from the age of 10 to 15 remotely.
The students learned the principles of Islamic religion, behaviour, the history of fiqh and Islamic sciences.
