Brescia: Two people have tragically died after a light aircraft crashed onto a busy highway in the Brescia province of northern Italy on Tuesday, the US edition of the UK newspaper The Sun reported.
The aircraft reportedly spiraled out of control before crashing and bursting into flames upon impact.
Two people who were on board the plane, a 75-year-old man and a 60-year-old-woman, were instantly killed.
According to Italian radio channel Rai Radio 1, the small plane fell near the highway junction connecting the A4 to the A21.
Italian authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash.

According to Brescia Today, the cause of the crash remains unknown.
