DOHA: Katara DFI Cinema is set to present the Mena premiere of the Philippine film Metro Manila next month.
It will be presented between October 3 and 8 at Katara Drama Theatre, Building 16. It’s a thrilling crime drama that will entertain audiences in Doha.
Metro Manila is the story of Oscar Ramirez and his family who leave the mountains of the Northern Philippines and move to Manila in the hope of a better life. Ideal prey in this ruthless city, Oscar unwittingly becomes embroiled in the murky criminal underworld inhabited by his new boss and is caught between wanting to do the right thing and needing to protect his family.
The movie received the Audience Award at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival and is directed by Academy Award and BAFTA-nominated director, Sean Ellis. Don’t miss the opportunity to watch this strong drama that won admiration of many across the globe.
