DOHA: High-end abaya fashion house Darz Design launched its new Autumn/Winter 2014 collection, ‘D’Taj’, during a fashion show at the Hilton Doha yesterday.
The collection includes elegant abayas designed with details and touches inspired by the splendour of India.
The Indian-inspired collection includes various cuts and designs that meet the needs of every woman, and it is suitable for the autumn and winter seasons.
The finest fabrics have been used in the abayas, including silk, chiffon, tulle, crepe and jacquard, adding a glamorous elegance to the designs.
What distinguishes the D’Taj collection is its fusion of classic fashion and casual wear.
Talented craftsmen and embroiders were involved in producing the collection, which embodies the timeless spirit and charm of Indian culture.
The D’Taj collection is inspired by the Taj Mahal in India.
“Distinctive Indian cultural richness and unabashed modern glamour will be on view in D’Taj designs. This is a trend that we believe could for sure become the next classic in the world of Arab fashion. We have analysed and adopted the accessories, cuts and shapes, colours and patterns, looks and style inspired by the exquisite and eccentric country of India”, the Darz creative team said in a statement.
The Qatari luxury brand is also showcasing some select pieces designed in collaboration with Virginia Commonwealth University in an initiative to support emerging talent.
Each Abaya expresses its Darz identity with creative details by the participating students. The abayas will be available in all Darz selling points in Qatar and abroad.
