DOHA: Qatar Sailing and Water Sports Federation (QSWSF) is preparing to host Qatar Sailing Open Championship from October 16 to 20 and Asian Optimist Championships from ctober 23 to 31 at the Katara Beach.
The QSWSF confirmed that the preparations are under way for the two prestigious championships which are expected to bring together top world sailors from Asian and different countries across the globe. Elite Qatari sailors are due to compete in both championships in frame of QSWSF’s long term strategy to encourage Qatari youth participation in sailing and water sports.
In February, QSWSF hosted the Qatar International Regatta, Sail the Gulf and Qatar Match Racing.
QSWSF also hosts national and international competitions in Kiteboarding.
