Ministry of Economy recalls 2014- 2016 GMC vehicles

Doha: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce, in cooperation with Al Mannai Company, GMC cars' dealer in Qatar, has recalled 2014- 2015 models of GMC vehicles (Sierra and Yukon) due to a defect in the electronic control unit of the air bag.

The ministry said the recall comes within the framework of ongoing coordination and follow-up by the ministry to ascertain the extent of car dealerships' commitment to follow up vehicles' defects and repair them to protect consumers' rights. 

The ministry also stressed that it will coordinate with the dealership to follow up maintenance and repair operations and will communicate with customers to ensure implementation of the procedures to fix defects. 

The ministry urged consumers to report any abuses or irregularities by communicating with the Department of Consumer Protection and Commercial Fraud Combat. (QNA)
