Somali Armed Forces took over Masjid Ali Gadud and Burdacar villages in the Middle Shabelle region from Al-Shabab Militants, According to Somalia News Agency.
Hirshabelle State spokesperson Daoud Haji Irro exclusively confirmed to Agency that troops achieved this gain with help of local people.
Irro said soldiers are still in the area, the security is secure and the forces will double nationwide anti-militants military operations.
Recent weeks, armed forces managed to seise several settlements in the middle Shabelle region from militants following intense operations.
