DOHA: Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA) has received a group of trainee assistant prosecutors.
As part of the fourth compulsory training course for the purpose of becoming familiar with the nature of (QFMA’s) work and responsibilities mainly in the areas of control and supervision.
The course is organized by Legal and Judicial Studies Center at Ministry of Justice.
QFMA said in a statement on Saturday that the visit covers the practical side of the compulsory training course to get acquainted with the nature of the functioning of the QFMA and its role to strengthening the Qatari capital market through regulation and supervision.
The trainees met a number of officials in the QFMA, who in turn briefed them on QFMA’s establishment, objectives, mission and regulatory and supervisory role in developing capital markets in the State of Qatar.
The presentation also included a highlight of QFMA’s legislations, in particular Dispute Settlement Regulation, procedures of Disciplinary Committee and the procedures followed before the Appeals Committee in the QFMA. (QNA)
