Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) announced the signing of a cooperation agreement which will see Qtel become the Telecom Sponsor of AZF’s brand new ‘step into health’ programme.
Created by AZF to tackle growing health issues in the country by promoting and facilitating an active lifestyle for Qatar’s society, ‘step into health’ is set to encourage the community to get fit by walking every day, and increasing the amount they walk gradually.
Aiming to inspire individuals to become more active in a social, recreational and non-competitive way, the programme will provide registered participants with complimentary pedometer devices, which are linked to a dynamic free online application that enables participants to monitor their progress and get useful health and nutrition tips.
Ibrahim Al Darwish, COO of Aspetar, remarked: “Aspire Zone Foundation is inspiring the nation to walk to fitness. Through our vast resources, knowledge and expertise, we will help the people of Qatar to easily apply a more active lifestyle in their daily lives.”
