Texas A&M University in Qatar honoured its fall degree candidates and summer graduates at a recognition ceremony at the Hamad bin Khalifa University Student Center in Education City.

The fall semester produced a diverse pool of 15 degree candidates, 14 for bachelor’s degrees and one for a master’s degree. The class, six Qataris and nine non-Qataris, represented the university’s chemical, electrical, mechanical and petroleum engineering programmes and numbered three, six, four and two, respectively, with a gender breakdown of three women and 12 men.

The university honoured 12 summer degree graduates. That class represented eight Qataris and four non-Qatari students. Eleven received bachelor’s degrees and one received Texas A&M at Qatar’s first master’s degree. The class represented graduates from the university’s chemical, electrical, mechanical and petroleum engineering disciplines and numbered two, five, three and two, respectively, for a total of seven female and five male graduates.

With this ceremony, the university has graduated more than 300 engineers and over 100 Qatari engineers. The awarding of Texas A&M at Qatar’s first two masters degrees is a milestone for the university.
