LONDON - Massimo Cellino, Leeds United's controversial Italian owner, can continue as a club director while waiting for his appeal to be heard, the Football League ruled on Tuesday.
Cellino was banned from holding office and ordered to step down from the second-tier Championship club's board on December 29, after failing the League's owners and directors' test earlier in the month.
But the governing body has now reached agreement with the Italian's legal team and he will be allowed to stay on as a club director while his appeal is being considered.
